Poncho, a recently registered seed treatment for corn, provides protection against early season insects that can cause damage to corn seed and reduce plant stand and yield.

Special care should be taken when planting treated seed since the extra material applied to the seed may lead to reduced flowability, thus affecting seed placement. To ensure proper flowability, it is recommended to use graphite in finger planters and talc in air planters.
